Magnetic Tracker FAQ
Questions people ask before they buy.
Clear answers about Apple Find My, location updates, battery life, magnetic mounting, compatibility and vehicle use.
Network & location
No. It is a Bluetooth finding-network tracker that works with Apple Find My. It does not provide continuous second-by-second cellular GPS tracking.
Location updates depend on nearby participating Apple devices, Bluetooth and radio conditions, and the surrounding environment. If no suitable network device is near the tracker, the app may continue showing the last reported location until the tracker is detected again.
Not reliably. Findcard is designed to help locate vehicles and personal assets through Apple Find My, not to provide continuous live-route or second-by-second cellular GPS tracking.
The location may update less frequently or remain at its previous reported position until a participating Apple device comes close enough to detect it.
No. The current Magnetic Tracker uses Apple Find My and does not require its own SIM card or recurring tracker subscription.
Compatibility
No. The current octagonal model is Apple Find My / iPhone only. Google Find Hub support is planned for future Findcard models.
Yes. When the tracker is nearby and connected through Apple Find My, use Play Sound to trigger the built-in buzzer. The current product listing specifies a sound level of up to about 80–100 dB.
Battery & charging
The product is rated for up to 5 years on one charge under typical use. Actual battery life can vary with usage frequency, environmental conditions, signal activity and battery aging.
It has a built-in 1000mAh rechargeable battery. When the battery runs low, recharge the tracker rather than replacing a disposable coin cell.
Vehicle mounting & durability
The built-in magnet is designed to attach to a suitable steel surface. Choose a clean, secure location away from hot exhaust components, moving parts, drainage paths or impact-prone areas, and verify the tracker is firmly attached before driving.
No. Magnets attach to suitable ferromagnetic materials such as many steel surfaces. Aluminum, many stainless-steel grades, plastic and composite panels may not provide useful magnetic holding force.
The current listing describes the housing as weather-resistant for everyday outdoor conditions. It should not be treated as a product intended for prolonged underwater immersion.
Yes, those are intended personal-property use cases provided the tracker is mounted securely and used only on property you own or are authorized to track.
Setup & support
Turn on the tracker, open Apple Find My, go to Items, choose Add Item, select Other Supported Item, then follow the on-screen prompts to connect it to your Apple Account.
Keep the tracker close to your iPhone, confirm Bluetooth and internet access are available, then retry the setup from Find My. If it still will not pair, open Quick Setup or contact Findcard support.
They are quantity options for the same current Magnetic Tracker product family. Choose the pack size based on how many belongings you want to cover.
Privacy & responsible use
Yes. Apple and Android include unwanted-tracking protections for compatible Bluetooth location trackers. Findcard should be used only to locate your own belongings, not to follow another person without their knowledge and consent.
